AB&T Systems Computer warranty and support


We at AB&T Systems pride ourselves on building excellent, state of the art computers that are free from fault. We are more than happy to help you with any concern or issue you have with your computer.
We define and warranty a computer as delivered to the customer, as the Computing unit, the monitor, speakers, mouse and keyboard, and where the mouse and keyboard are wireless, its receiver, (but not batteries), if listed on the same invoice.
Any additional hardware, software or item, even if on the same invoice, will be covered by its respective warranty and not this warranty service.
- This includes, but is not limited to:
o External hard drives
o Flash drives
o Printers
o Scanners
o Cameras
o Modems or routers
o Notebooks and Netbooks

For faults with Notebooks, Netbooks, Modems/routers, and Printers/Scanners, please visit the manufacturer’s website for their support information or check you invoice for further advice. We are happy to help, however warranty issues with these items must go through the manufacturer.

Warranty Terms
Your warranty term will be specified on your invoice, however for reference our standard warranties are 1 year for an on-site warranty or 2 years for a return to base warranty. You warranty term cannot be changed after the invoice has been made.

Transfer of this Warranty
Any remaining time on your warranty is transferable should you sell your system before the expiration of the warranty period provided the purchaser buys everything we define to be the computer as listed on the original invoice. This includes the monitor, peripherals and software. They must also have a copy of the original invoice. The new owner must notify us of the transfer of ownership of the computer if a warranty issue arises. The new owner must also comply with the conditions set out in this document.



A few conditions for you to know:
1. Warranty and technical issues are 2 separate issues.
a. A warranty issue is a physical defect or fault in the computer caused from a manufacturing or assembly fault not allowing proper function. Further conditions are listed under ‘What does warranty cover?’.
b. A technical issue is regarded as any other issue relating to the computer that is not the direct fault of AB&T systems, or the manufacturer of the hardware. Further conditions are listed under ‘What doesn’t warranty cover?’.

2. AB&T systems offers free phone technical support during the warranty period of the computer relating to:
a. Setup and installation of your computer
b. Internet problems, as best we can, in relation to the computer
c. Driver or peripheral issues
d. Programs installed by default on AB&T systems Computers

3. If phone support doesn’t help or you have a serious issue, such as viruses or spyware, AB&T Systems has in-store and on-site technical services available. These services are charged at $88p/h for in-store (for most services, maximum in-store service charge is $176), and $110 for a 1 hour call out on-site, plus $40 per 15min (no maximum).

4. If you make a request for warranty, and we find it not to be a warranty issue, except where part 5 of these conditions applies, we will then give you the option for us to continue the repair at a charged rate, or to stop what we are doing and cancel the request without charge.

5. If you make a request for warranty, and we find it to be have been caused by an addition not supplied on the computers original invoice, we will charge you a minimum fee of $110 for an on-site callout, or $88 for an in store assessment, plus our standard charges as well as the cost of replacement parts. The minimum fee charged is not negotiable, and will be due at the completion of the on-site evaluation, even if service was refused.

6. Although all care will be taken, AB&T Systems will not be, in anyway, responsible for lost data! This includes warranty and technical support issues.
IMPORTANT: Remember to backup often!


7. You cannot bill or otherwise charge AB&T Systems for the down time of your computer.


Any technical services and equipment that are offered and accepted will be charge to you and payment will be due at the completion of the service.

This statement may be amended by AB&T Systems without prior notification.
